Type of Events:
Events that we have played at include weddings, birthday parties, Christmas functions, weddings engagements, fundraising events, corporate events, balls, awards night, disability services, cultural events, childrens parties, movie nights, Christmas Carols and many more.
We have played in hundreds of venues around Adelaide and surrounding countryside, and are quite prepared to travel. You name it - we can do it. Click the button for more information on your particular event need:
Pricing:
Simon will provide you with a price depending on the number of hours that the band is required for. If you have a duo the price will be less than a trio or band.
Other costs may include travel if outside the Adelaide metro area. Sometimes there may be a fee for learning specific songs, or providing equipment relevant to that particular function.
Musical Ideas:
(Also see Set List below). As professional musicians we pride ourselves on being able to play most styles of popular music. If you have something specific in mind then let us know, and we can make it happen! We have had many request for different songs so have hundreds that we can choose from, but we have also had requests from brides who would like us to accompany them while they sing a song to their new husband. Nothing it out of the question!
DJ's - streamed music:
We don't claim to be DJs' but can certainly stream songs for you. At many events we start the night while guests are arriving by streaming selected music that has been tailored by us espectially for your event, or a playlist that has been curated by our client. At the end of the night we might also add a 'banging' set of streamed dance music - night club style! And of course we stream music during our short breaks.
Set up Requirements:
Our duo can fit into a relatively small area of about 2.5m by 2.5m, with speakers placed in appropriate locations around this. We provide a high quality QSC sound system including excellent speakers, mixing desk , microphones and associated equipment , leads etc. Space required for a 4 piece band will be around 4 x 3 m.Setting up usually takes an hour, including sound check, and packing up around 30 minutes. Our only critical requirement is a power point nearby!

We play re-mixed versions of songs from the 1950's to the current day. We often receive comments to say that our versions provide a completely new approach, - we sound fresher and more classy! This is due to the quality/sophistication of our sound, musicianship, and the attention we pay to getting our arrangements right. We tend to avoid playing the songs that you hear over and over, in favour of choosing songs from well known artists, that are less often heard.
Our set list includes recent songs from (for example) Selena Gomez, Adele, Flume (DJ), Portugal The Man, Beyonce, Dua Lipa and many others. We have also selectively sourced, emotionally-rich songs from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and beyond, including Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Carole King, The Animals, Spencer Davis Group, Jimmy Barnes, Roxette, Eagles, Beatles etc.
Amongst these there are plenty of upbeat songs, but also alluring melodic pieces that are ideal for more intimate venues, cocktail functions, wine bars etc. We can happily add requested material for particular themes – for example we recently played a masquerade party where the client wanted half a dozen Dean Martin songs in our set list.
